Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

Just north of San Antonio, at the edge of the Texas Hill Country, sits the small community of Leon Springs. Founded in the 1800s by Max Aue, Leon Spring's cityscape changed when Max's son, Rudolph, opened a one-stop gas station, garage, and grocery store.
Bar-B-Q was added to the operation in 1989, and Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q has been serving up tasty food ever since. The same original recipes that built Rudy's Leon Springs' reputation are now available throughout the Southwest.
Our pits are 100% wood fired with oak, a slower burning wood than the mesquite used by others. Along with time and oak, we cook with a dry spice that ensures each plate of Rudy's Bar-B-Q is perfectly ready for you. Apply some of our famous " Sause" and dinner is served.

Is for independent humble people that don't need to depend on a waitress, you go get your staff and enjoy your meal.
Just amwazin food, you clean your table and you enjoy the Best BBQ, brisquet loaded potato and half of chicken very good, super good and the manager and people are friendly and very attentive.

Stopped by to grab some breakfast on the go, and it was a great experience. People are friendly and super nice. Loved the ambiance. They've got a great vibe. They also have a hall for a party or an event in the back. I grabbed a brisket egg and cheese bowl and turkey sandwich for her, and it was amazing 👏 😋. Would love to visit them for lunch or dinner. Strongly recommend 💯. Do check out their C-store.
We had our family gather here after my mom’s memorial service. We had quite a large group, but the staff was very gracious and provided excellent service. When I spoke to the young man at the register and thanked him, he offered his condolences, and I thought that was so kind of him. Would highly recommend!

My Thoughts:
We went to the newly opened Rudy's BBQ on my 33rd birthday. The ribs still had some pink (I like my food well done) and mediocre, the potato salad and banana pudding was nasty, the chicken still had pink, the beans were okay, the chopped beef was great, and the sausage link was delicious.
The place was packed out the door, very clean, and the staff were overwhelmed with customers, but they were friendly. The BBQ sauce made a huge difference in the taste (the sauce was good, I like the "sissy sause".)

Update: I go sometimes to get the sausage link uncut. But, that's the only thing I get. In my opinion, Spring Creek Barbeque is better and cheaper. But, my Daddy's BBQ is better than both, lol.
